Welcome to my Blogsite, my name is Jasmine Mills. I recently completed my doctoral program with Walden University. I pursued higher education to research new ways to implement new strategies into my own classroom and to support other educators who sought to help their students grow academically. I taught second grade for 10 years and am currently teaching third grade in a public school located in the DMV area. Through my Blogsite, I plan on networking with other educators and discussing topics that many educators face on a daily basis.

Professional Hopes & Goals

Hopes

While working with young children and their families my goal is to always make them feel comfortable. But now as I work with diverse families my hopes are to make sure they feel welcomed and included in my classroom. Children should always feel comfortable but to make them feel included is absolutely important. This course had enhanced my perspective to diverse backgrounds and family values.

Goal for the Early Childhood Education field 

One goal that I have for this field is to provide early childhood educators with more workshops and trainings to work with diverse families. Many of our educators will benefit from this because it will help build better family involvement in the classrooms.
